Wonder why Malaysian Politicians synonym to a frog "Katak"?

I wonder why when some politicians "jump" or on the other hand joining the other party, malaysians will mark those individual as a frog. To me there were few more terms suits for them...emmm..maybe...

A Lion!!!
Since a lion is the "King of the jungle", Excellent jumper when attacking enemy, very smart and strong, good in teamwork, high agility and superior in smelling fresh meat. Do you agree?

Since a chess player are very good in their strategy to beat their opponent. They can create moves far behind what an ordinary people can imagine. Do you agree?

Since a kangaroo is a better jumper a hundred times better then a frog. They also good in fighting especially in boxing. High agility, cute and well known mascot for Australia. Do you agree?
